OUR VISION
Markey Church seeks to be a Christ-centered, biblical congregation made up of a broad variety of people. We are cooperative with other churches in our county in reaching out to the many who have never met Christ in a personal way. We strive to worship God in a variety of forms suitable to young and old alike.
Historically, we have placed a strong emphasis on Christian education, ministry with children and youth, and missions. We continue to encourage the deepening of personal discipleship and strong support of local, national, and international missions. And given the nature of this community we are dramatically enlarging the ministry with senior adults by assisting in the construction and operation of Country Village apartment for senior adults.

I haven’t been to Church in awhile but wanted you to know that I downloaded ITunes and am now catching up with The Story. How great it was to hear Jim’s voice again. Some day soon I’ll be back and don’t ever think I’ve strayed away. I keep you all in my prayers and hope you do the same for me. Love and prayers to all, Kay Weeks

I’m still here in Virginia but miss my Markey Church Family- especially at this season. I miss Valli singing “Mary, Did you Know?” and Jim passing the peace. I miss taking my boys to candlelight service in their “footie” pajamas and then home to bed for Santa to come. I miss the snow that always softly falls on Christmas Eve and makes County Road 100 slippery and silent with lights twinkling on the way to church and home.
Merry Christmas, Markey family. I love you and hope to be home for good soon. Thank you so much for the podcasts and the website!
